Sunday afternoon Ally started to be sick to her stomach. We thought it was just a 24 hour stomach bug, though. By noon on Monday, she was doubled over in pain. I took her into the dr and she was pretty sure she had Rotavirus. She checked to make sure she didn't have strep throat, a UTI, or anything else. Ally was starting to get dehydrated, but it was too late to do anything without admitting her. She had an appointment for the next morning if she wasn't any better. I took her back the next morning as she wasn't drinking enough and still wasn't using the bathroom enough. So, we had to head to Saline Memorial Hospital to get iv fluids. She perked up after the 1st bag, but after trying to go potty, she was very tired again. So, another bag of fluids and then a bag of fluids with sugar. After 800 mls, she was finally able to go potty. She was one dehydrated little girl! She ended up missing the entire week of school. That stomach virus really just did a number on her! I'm so glad she's feeling better as she gave me a couple good scares with this one!
