We're done with the tests!

We are home and fed. LOL! Ally was STARVING along with me. SHe really didn't act that hungry til we got to Sonic and they delivered the food. She cried all the way home wanting her food. She's gobbling down some chicken and fries right now. No results yet on any of the tests. I have to call the nurse this afternoon about something they found doing the cath that I didn't have a chance to ask the doctor about. So, I hope they have at least one of the test results back. The last one they did to test the kidney fuction, they said it would take a few hours for the computer to do it's thing and produce the results. The ultrasound still showed the dark spots on the top and bottom of the bad kidney that are suspicious but the good kidney showed the same spots on one side. So, that could mean that her kidneys are just weirdly shapped and not damaged at all. That's what we're hoping for. The doctor said he just couldn't tell which it was by the ultrasound so we'd wait for the renal scan.

Ally had a rough go of it this morning. First, they did the ultrasound and she was none to pleased about that, although it didn't hurt. Next, they did the VCUG. They sandbaged her arms and then used masking tape to secure her upper body (no tape actually touched her). Oh, I wished I'd taken a camera for that one. LOL Anyways, she was more pissed about not being able to move than anything else. They did the test and were waiting on her to tinkle and the child would NOT go to the bathroom. We finally had to make her mad (took the pacifier away did that suffiently) and she finally forgot to hold it and went. Took longer for her to pee than the actual test took. While she was still secured to the table (LOL) they injected her with the radioactive isotopes. She was still to mad about being pinned down and didn't even flinch when they stuck her with the needle. Next, we went to the nephrologist for all of a 5 minute visit. Talked to Gladys after that because we had 45 minutes to kill. Finally, they gave her the dope to make her go to sleep and she fought tooth and nail to stay awake but finally gave it up. They did that test and we were done. She's still loopy from the medicine though. She can't walk without falling down. She's telling EVERYONE bye bye and toodleloo. LOL They gave her a stuffed cat to take home with her because I was talking to her about Zoey..our cat trying to calm her down.

So, anyways, all that to say we don't know anything knew. I'm about to leave a message with the nurse and hope they call me back today with the results!
