It was Parent teacher conference day on the 21st of October.
We went to Ally's first. She got a very good report from Ms. Smith! She plays well with others, she listens and follows directions, she doesn't talk too much (surprise surprise!). She knows all her ABC's and the letter sounds. She can count to 30. She does very well with her math reading problems, also! She only had trouble with the number 9. She kept telling Ms. Smith that she didn't know how to take the erasers and only have 9 out. I'm not sure what that was about! That was the only "N" she got, though! Very proud of Ally girl! She really just LOVES school. She would go 7 days a week if they would let her!
Then, it was on to Ian's class. He also got a very good report! He had a 99 in English, a 88 in Reading, a 86 in spelling, a 100 in Science, and a 98 in Math. We are very proud of our little guy!! He can read 107 wpm. His teacher told us that by the end of 3rd grade, their goal is 110 wpm! Way to go! However, he does need to slow it down a little and PAY ATTENTION to what he is reading. He's always in a hurry to get finished. I am so very proud of him! He got off to a rocky start and has really stepped up to the plate. 3rd grade was a whole new ballgame (must be that it's World Series time with me using all these baseball anologies!). He ended up adjusting just fine to 3rd grade! We just need to work on those spelling words a little harder!
