Retirement

Ian often isn't happy when Daddy has to go to work 5 out of the 7 days in the week. We have to remind him that Daddy has to go to work or he doesn't get paid. If we don't get paid, then we can't pay for the house, his toys, food and snacks that he likes to eat. Well, he's obviously listening to us! Thad's parents recently retired. We drove by PawPaw's former workplace yesterday and Ian got excited that it was PawPaw's work! I told him that PawPaw didn't work there anymore because he was retired. After a moment of thought, Ian asks "Momma, if PawPaw doesn't work now, how can he pay for Grandma's house???"

Later, on his way home with Grandma and PawPaw, he asked them why did they want to retire. To which they replied, "We just didnt' want to work anymore!" Evidently, that was enough because he didn't ask anymore questions. lol
